In an exclusive interview with Sowetan LIVE, Ratile Mabitsela, former Miss Tembisa and reality TV personality, unveils her mission to leverage her platform for the betterment of women in her hometown. Renowned for her stint on The Mommy Club, Mabitsela aims to channel her reality TV status into a force for positive change.

Despite her initial foray into reality TV stirring controversy, Mabitsela views the experience as a catalyst for personal growth and empowerment. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “Reality TV has allowed me to grow and stand up for myself… I feel like I have found my power and voice.”

Amidst challenges and criticisms, Mabitsela remains resolute in her commitment to authenticity and self-assertion. Drawing from her pageantry background, she navigates the complexities of reality TV with resilience and grace, determined to reshape narratives and inspire others.

Beyond the glitz of television, Mabitsela grapples with personal struggles, including reported incidents of domestic violence within her marriage. Despite public scrutiny, she remains steadfast in protecting her family’s privacy while advocating for the acknowledgment of marital hardships.

As the CEO of the revitalised Miss Tembisa beauty pageant and founder of the “Boss Babe” movement, Mabitsela champions women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship and self-worth. With her podcast, “Uncomfortable Conversations,” she sparks dialogue and fosters a community of growth-minded individuals.

“I want women to see value in themselves and embrace a mentality of growth,” Mabitsela asserts, emphasising the importance of self-belief and ambition. Through her endeavour’s, she aims to inspire women to reach their full potential and realise their aspirations, shaping a brighter future for Tembisa and beyond.
