The Mommy Club star Ratile Mabitsela has officially joined the viral TikTok trend known as the Nicki Minaj Challenge, and her take on the trend is nothing short of bold and stylish.
The trend, which has taken over social media, sees users recreating one of Nicki Minaj’s most iconic poses. The original inspiration comes from Nicki’s 2013 music video for High School, where the rapper is seen squatting by a pool in towering heels, with one leg crossed over the other. Fans have since recreated the pose in the wildest ways, from balancing on bottles to posing on tightropes.
Ratile decided to join in and posted her version on Instagram. But instead of a poolside shot, she did it at the gym, sitting confidently on a stack of two dumbbells.
In the photo, she’s wearing a tight burgundy and black gym outfit, paired with red bottom Christian Louboutin heels. One leg is crossed neatly over the other, and her hands are calmly resting on her knee. With a straight face and flawless hair, she totally owned the pose. She captioned the post: “Challenge accepted. #nickiminajchallenge”
The picture quickly grabbed attention, even getting a like from popular sangoma Gogo Skhotheni. But that’s not all Ratile’s been busy with.
She and fellow Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase are launching a brand-new Brunch Podcast Show — and it sounds like a luxury experience. Set for 27 September 2025, the event promises real conversations, healing, and sisterhood, all under a “royalty” theme. It will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and guests can expect a full-course brunch, a chance to win a trip to Mozambique or Zanzibar, and goodie bags. Tickets are selling for R2 800, and spots are expected to fill quickly.
