Popular Scandal Actor arrested on human trafficking charges. The actor and 16 other people were arrested in a brothel raid in Springs that may be connected to human trafficking syndicate.
The Police reportedly raided the brothel after receiving a tip-off from a woman who had apparently escaped from the brothel.
“We have arrested 17 people for human trafficking. The suspects included 11 females and six males. There is also a Nigerian man who is believed to be collecting money from these women and a prominent actor in one of our local soapies in the country,” Police spokesman Kay Makhubela said.
The group will appear in the Springs Magistrate’s Court later on Friday, charged under the Sexual Offences Act. The name of the actor cannot yet be revealed. More details to follow.
