Actress and YouTuber Millicent Mashile hasn’t had the easiest journey to her new found success as she had to drop out to school and start from the beginning at one point in her life.
Mashile is the exact energy we need when it comes to motivation and working hard on your dreams. In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress opened up about the challenges she faced as a variety student.
According to Millicent, she had to drop out of University at the age of 20 years old due to lack of funds. Milly was a Marketing student and in her final year, she had to put her dream of graduating on hold.
After going to every bank imaginable with her grandmother to apply for a loan, she unfortunately cam up short. After working hard and starting from the beginning, Millicent returned to school in when she was 27 years old in the year 2015.
Mashile graduated in 2018 majoring in acting and the ambitious actress also obtained her honours degree. Millicent shared her teary throwback photos of the special day that she graduated with her qualification.
“To one of the most emotional nights of my life. This was 3years ago today. 02-03-2018 My graduation Day. Honestly a day I thought I would never experience. My education journey was a difficult one. At 20years old I had to drop out in my final year studying Marketing. Went to every bank with my grandma & was declined a loan. I had to go & work and start again from scratch. In 2015 , at 27yrs I went to study what I love & obtained my acting degree. That’s my story, goodnight! God is Good” she wrote.
the Skeem Saam actress has achieved a lot since entering the entertainment industry. Mashile began her success as a production assistant at Urban Brew Studios and has since opened a theatre production company with her sister.
