Well, we would be lying if we said we didn’t see this coming. Phat Joe has resigned from MetroFM and has joined Durban’s East Coast Radio as of today. Phat Joe ditches MetroFM for East Coast Radio’s drive time show.
Phat Joe will be the host of the daily afternoon drive show weekdays, on air from 15:00 to 18:00 as of this Monday afternoon (today).
“Yes, we can confirm that Phat Joe has left Metro FM to join East Coast Radio. The decision was a planned and thought through process to make sure it was a smooth transition for both Phat Joe and us,” East Coast Radio Programming Manager Zane Derbyshire confirmed the news.
On his new station and slot Phat Joe says he excited to be in Durban. “This is a really exciting opportunity for me. Not only will I get to chill in Durban, but I also get to interact with the cool listeners of East Coast Radio on a daily basis. I think we are going to have a lot of fun together,’ he said.
