Jozi FM radio host Penny Ntuli is showing the true meaning of friendship, welcoming her close friend and TV personality Zotha Masikane into her home after a life-threatening incident. Last week, Masikane made headlines when he leapt from a third floor to escape hijackers who attempted to steal his new car. The car was on its way to his parents for their first look, but instead, Zotha found himself fighting for his life.
Now, as he recovers, Ntuli has opened her Johannesburg home to him. “She is my best friend, Ngiyofa la afakhona (through thick and thin),” Zotha shared with ZiMoja. “She offered to take care of me while I recover because I live alone in Durban.” Ntuli, who has been by his side since he was admitted to the hospital, even shared a photo of herself and her daughter picking him up.
For Zotha, this friendship is like family. “She is like the sister I never had. With her, I am in good hands,” he added.
While Zotha faces a long road to recovery, including learning to walk on crutches, he’s chosen not to have screws placed in his leg, as doctors recommended. The incident has disrupted his plans for auditions and business projects, but he’s counting his blessings. “At this point, I am just grateful for my life,” he reflected. He hopes to make a full recovery by April next year.
With Penny Ntuli by his side, Zotha’s journey to healing is already filled with love and support. Ntuli has confirmed that he will stay with her while he recovers, showing just how deep their friendship runs.
