Pearl Thusi Speaks On How Her Dream Of Queen Sono Became A Reality. Pearl Thusi is the epitomy of women empowerment with her go getter attitude which is why all her projects are beyond successful.
The actress and businesswoman is still basking in the glory of her recent Netflix mini-series Queen Sono where she played the character of a next level girl boss.
In the Netflix special interview titled Strong Black Lead, Pearl Thusi mentioned that she first realised her ability to do stunts in the movie Scorpion King .
“I’d just come back from New York from shooting a movie I was in called Scorpion King, I realised how good I was at doing action and stunts and stuff like that and I was excited and I wanted to do more stuff like that.” She said
In the interview Pearl emphasised the importance of believing in herself which is one of the most important mentalities that one needs to succeed.
Thusi claims that she was at the part in her life where she wanted to take control of her career and plan her own destiny.
It was the actress who took initiative by showing the creator of Queen Sono Kagiso Lediga what she can do in terms of stunts and he was excited enough to turn Pearls idea in to a reality.
“This is right after I told him that I want to start producing and directing my own shows and what he did is basically took the seed and nurtured it and watered it and found a place for it. Luckily Netflix was in town and I did a vision bored and I wrote there that I want to be a lead of an international series.”
The actress has always been interested in producing and directing and what better way to start than on an international level.
