This after Pearl Thusi agreed to go on a date with a popular twitter user named Mr. Smeg for a lunch date. After Smeg asked the actress on a date via twitter, she responded and accepted the ask and let’s just say the rest is history.
The date has now become one of Mzansi’s obsession and is now known as the national date. The pair have been keeping followers in the loop about how the date is gonna happen and we are loving it. The pair have confirmed to meet on Saturday and will be having an exclusive lunch at Oskido’s seafood restaurant called Daruma. The Queen Sono actress called and made the reservation with Oskido himself so we know they are getting the royal treatment.
“Just spoke to @OskidoIBelieve and we are on! @MichaelBucwa see you Saturday for the national date” she wrote.
The pair have been going out of their way to ensure the date goes perfectly and it is very heartwarming to witness. Pearl being the connected queen she is revealed that Mercedes Benz Sandton has offered to chauffeur both her and her date to their date in style.
“Mercedes Sandton has offered to drive @MichaelBucwa and me to our date… is a Merc ok for you Smeg? If so please send me your address so I can arrange a car to pick you up” she wrote.
Pearl has even gone as far as planning her outfit for the date which consists of only luxury local brands such as Tshepo Jeans, Rich Mnisi, and MaXhosa. Knowing Pearl’s taste in fashion, we have no doubts that she will be stepping on all the necks.
Mr Smeg has also been making preparations of his own and not only has he asked Fikile Mbalula to clear the road for him and his date on the big day but he also reached to BMW to hook him up with a sweet ride to sweep Pearl Off her feet. That clearly won’t be necessary after the actress handled the transport with a sweet deal with Mercedes Benz.
