Pearl Thusi lands a role in an international flick will be produced by former Mr Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon. This is Pearl’s first international acting gig, it’s definitely her time right now.
The TV presenter will star in the upcoming international heist film called The Blue Mauritius. The film is about five international thieves hired by a mysterious person from Mauritius to steal the most valuable stamps in the world.
According to News24, Pearl is set to play the part of Makeda, a sexy, gun toting, motorcycle riding femme fatale, who works for a German art dealer who is also out to steal the precious stamps, which collectively holds the secret to a treasure on Mauritius.
The film will reportedly have international talent from France, Brazil, Germany, Egypt, South Africa and the United States. Pearl will join fellow South African supermodel turned actress Nicola Breytenbach who also landed a role in the film.
The film will be produced by New York based D Street Pictures and Cape Town’s Kaapland Films. Executive produced by Dexter Davis and Nick Cannon. British director Charles Henri Belleville is also set to direct the film.
