Just a few days after Pearl Thusi found herself embroiled in controversy following her trip to Zimbabwe, questions regarding the honesty of her statements about the trip have now surfaced.

Accompanied by fellow actors Sonia Mbele and Sello Maake kaNcube, Thusi ventured on a journey to South Africa’s neighboring nation, Zimbabwe. However, this trip sparked curiosity and skepticism when photographs began circulating, depicting them alongside Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa while wearing Zanu-PF scarves, the ruling political party in the country.

The saga took an intriguing turn when Zimbabwean journalist Hopewell Chin’ono. A vocal critic of Mnangagwa and his government, delved into the matter. After some thorough investigation, Chin’ono obtained the complete itinerary of Pearl Thusi’s trip. If the media personality indeed possessed information about the trip. It suggests that she may have been aware of the details and therefore may have misled the public.

Chin’ono shared his findings on social media, stating, “A South African celebrity who was on the ZANUPF propaganda tour, [Pearl Thusi] has been proved to have lied about not knowing that her group would meet ZANUPF politicians and go to State House. A media invite letter sent to them all shows that they knew that they would meet Mnangagwa and ZANUPF officials.”

The accusation against Thusi revolves around her initial claim of having no prior knowledge of an invitation to the dinner. She stated, “… they told us there was a gala dinner, a state visit. I am not going to apologize for anything. What I will say is I did not know that I was going to be at the state house in politically charged situation.”

The intrigue deepens as questions arise about who funded this controversial trip. Leaked documents reveal that the group was accompanied by the controversial businessman Zunaid Moti. Who also covered the expenses for the journey.

In the wake of these revelations, Pearl Thusi credibility and honesty have come into question. Shedding light on the potential discrepancies in her statements about the Zimbabwe trip. The controversy surrounding this excursion and the various players involved continues to unfold. Leaving the public with more questions than answers.
