Pearl Modiadie Bows Out Of BET’ Africa’s Redemption’. The television and radio presenter, and actress took to her socials to announce her exit from the television drama.
Pearl has been portraying the role of Yvonne Zikode in the drama series since it’s launch, her character went from from being a girlfriend, to later marrying the pastor, Zwelakhe Zikode and into a highly respected family bound by their Christian faith with multi businesses.
Modiadie recently responded to an appreciation post expressing gratitude to her impeccable portrayal of Yvonne on ‘Redemption’. She also confirmed that Tuesday, 28 March was her last day on set. “Thank you. We filmed the final scene today, it’s officially a wrap for Yvonne!” she replied to the appreciation post.
Modiadie’s exit from the television drama seems to be her return to radio. After leaving ‘Metro FM’ almost two years ago, at that time Pearl did not share her feelings about leaving radio, she only put out a statement announcing her departure saying, “Wednesday the 31st is my last Metro FM broadcast.”
And now she is back on radio, Pearl took to her Twitter to let people know that she was guest hosting on ‘947’. Pearl was in for Msizi James on Wednesday morning, 29 March for the 9-12 pm slot. “I’m in for Msizi James on @947 this morning between 9-12! Tune in,” she tweeted. Her recent post has inquiring minds asking if she is making a radio comeback after her long absence from it.
It will be interesting to see if Pearl joins ‘Primedia’ and becomes the latest top radio personality to join ‘947’.
