Actress and television host Pearl Modiadie has officially said goodbye to her character, Ayanda Gumede-Williams, following the conclusion of the second season of the popular Mzansi Magic drama series Law, Love & Betrayal.
The talented star portrayed Ayanda Gumede-Williams, a brilliant, feisty and ambitious attorney who became a fan favourite on the legal drama. Season 2 of Law, Love & Betrayal premiered on Mzansi Magic on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 8pm, before becoming available on Showmax the following day.
As filming wrapped up, Pearl took to Instagram to share a collection of memorable moments from her time on set. The post included behind-the-scenes photos and videos, as well as special memories captured with her fellow cast members during production.
Reflecting on her experience, Pearl expressed gratitude for the journey and the people she met along the way.
“Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the friendships we’ve built, and the beautiful journey that brought us here. Having bid adieu to Law, Love & Betrayal Season 2, I find myself reflecting and feeling incredibly grateful.
Grateful for the stories we got to tell. Grateful for the castmates who became friends, the laughter in makeup and between takes, the long days, the early call times, the personal stories that had us taking turns being each other’s therapists, and the countless moments that never make it to screen.”
The actress also took time to acknowledge the hardworking teams who work behind the scenes to bring television productions to life.
“A big thank you to the people behind the scenes. To Izwi Multimedia, directors, casting directors, writers, producers, camera operators, sound, lighting, wardrobe designers, hair and makeup teams, runners, catering services, and every single person whose dedication helps bring these stories; and our talents to life. Your work creates the space for us to do what we love.”
Pearl’s message highlighted the strong bonds formed during filming and the appreciation she has for everyone involved in the production process.
She also thanked viewers who supported the show throughout the season. “And to you, the amazing viewers… thank you for giving us your time, your hearts, and your support this season. What a privilege it has been to be part of this journey as Ayanda Gumede.”
From the friendships formed behind the scenes to the stories shared on screen, her journey as Ayanda Gumede-Williams will remain a memorable chapter in her acting career.
