Popular DJ Oscar Mbo is facing backlash in Limpopo following allegations that he disrupted performances by Makhadzi and Karishma, with fans and venues now calling for his exclusion from local events. According to MDN News, tensions escalated after accusations surfaced that Oscar Mbo interfered with Makhadzi’s set at the Macufe Festival, allegedly by removing her USB during her performance, and prematurely ended Karishma’s set at FNB Stadium.

As a result, an event scheduled at Noko Resort in Limpopo has been postponed due to safety concerns. Fans of Makhadzi and Karishma reportedly directed threats toward Oscar Mbo, prompting the resort to reconsider holding the event with him on the lineup.

In an official statement, Noko Resort explained, “In light of recent events, we at Noko Resort have made the difficult decision to postpone our highly anticipated event, originally scheduled for Saturday, 2 November 2024. This decision comes after thorough deliberation and in response to threats directed toward one of our main performers. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of everyone involved—our loyal patrons, talented performers, partners, and dedicated staff.”

The statement also acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans and reassured ticket holders that plans are underway for a rescheduled date. “For those who have already purchased tickets, we kindly advise you to hold onto them, as we will announce a new date very soon. Alternatively, if you prefer, you may request a full refund at your point of purchase (Computicket),” the statement added. Noko Resort promised special rewards for fans who choose to retain their tickets.
