South Africans first got to know Nunurai Mudarikwa when she appeared on Showmax’s hit reality show The Mommy Club. Now, the reality TV star has shared exciting news — she has welcomed her second child, another baby boy.
Speaking to Baby Yum Yum, Nunurai opened up about her pregnancy journey and what life looks like now as a mother of two. While she describes this new chapter as “serious” and sometimes overwhelming, she also shared the joy of watching her eldest son step into his new role as a big brother.
“I am excited and truly feel blessed to be a mom of two. It makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a more mature chapter.”
Reflecting on this phase of her life, Nunurai says growth has been at the centre of it all.
“Spiritual growth and purpose. I have grown, my family has grown, my business is growing and I am working on my spiritual growth. I can sum it up by saying all of this has helped me find my purpose in life.”
Her baby boy was born on March 13, 2026, in Toronto, Canada — a moment she describes as deeply emotional.
“Holding him for the first time felt miraculous for a moment; I couldn’t believe it was real. Because I had faced a health scare leading up to the birth and there were complications, I was emotional and grateful.”
Nunurai also revealed that her pregnancy came with challenges. She explained that her due date had passed and the baby was quite big, which led to an induction. However, things quickly became serious.
“During the induction process, the baby went into distress and passed meconium, which is considered a medical concern. Because of that, the doctors had to quickly perform an emergency C-section to safely deliver the baby.”
Despite the difficult experience, both mom and baby are doing well. At home, her eldest son has fully embraced his new role.
“He loves being a big brother. He calls his little brother ‘my baby.’”
Since leaving The Mommy Club, Nunurai says life has been good. She has returned to being a full-time businesswoman, now with added fame and support from fans.
“Life since leaving the show has been good. I went back to being a full-time businesswoman, but now with the fame and all the fan love.”
Although she has moved on from reality TV, she admits she sometimes misses it.
“Sometimes I do miss it. Despite the drama, I had fun shooting the show. I would consider going back, but not full-time.”
As she settles into life with two children, Nunurai continues to embrace motherhood, growth, and the new purpose she says she has found.
