Fans of The Mommy Club will certainly miss Nunurai Mudarikwa’s unfiltered humour and her strong, relatable presence, but the Bulawayo-born mother of one is stepping away from reality TV to focus on new business ventures. In an exclusive interview with DRUM, Nunurai opens up about why she’s leaving the popular show and what exciting plans she has for the future.

“I’m not coming back for season three at all,” Nunurai reveals. “For me, The Mommy Club was a great platform, but I gave it my all. When the opportunity for another season came, I felt like I didn’t align with their plans. There was nothing more I wanted to share with South Africa or anything else I was willing to give.”

While fans will undoubtedly miss her vibrant personality on the show, Nunurai is at peace with her decision.

Behind her TV persona, Nunurai is a driven entrepreneur, with two thriving businesses. “My events company, Nulu Events, is my full-time hustle,” she says. “I also run a flower business, which keeps me busy.”

She credits The Mommy Club for helping her reach new audiences. “Being on TV introduced me to an audience I never imagined. People who fell in love with me on the show now support my businesses. I’m so grateful for that.”

With her businesses flourishing, Nunurai is looking to expand even further. “I want to grow in the events space, get into event production, and even explore furniture. Real estate is also something I’m considering. But at heart, I’ll always be an events girl.”

In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Nunurai has teamed up with Chargify, a leading electric car charging company, to manage their events and help promote the brand online. She recently had the chance to test-drive an electric car and describes it as a “game-changer.” “It’s fast, smooth, and completely silent. I’d definitely own one because it’s eco-friendly, and that’s the future.”

Though Nunurai is stepping away from reality TV, she promises to stay active in other spaces. “You’ll still see me on social media. And if the right opportunity comes along, I might just be back on your screens.”
