Award-winning TV host and voice-over artist Ntombee Ngcobo-Mzolo recently took to social media to share a touching tribute in memory of her late daughter, Linile. In an emotional post, she marked the anniversary of her daughter’s passing, revealing how she has navigated the pain of losing her.
Ntombee shared a heartwarming video of her daughter laughing, captioned with a deeply personal message:
“I never pay much attention to days that brought me pain. I literally do everything in power to put them in the past and leave them there, but today, I felt the need to share what’s in my heart and maybe how I’ve survived over the years. Today marks the anniversary of our beloved Angel Linile gaining her wings and joining our Creator in heaven. Losing her was the most painful experience of my life, but I’ve come to realize that 14/09/21 is gone forever. Today is a new day, full of new possibilities.”
Linile tragically passed away in a car accident on September 14, 2021. As the anniversary approached, Ntombee reflected on how far she’s come, choosing to embrace the present rather than dwell on past heartache:
“We are now in 2024, and God remains faithful. We have the chance to create joyful memories and choose how we want to live. We don’t have to let past pain define us or replay hurtful memories that can consume our souls.”
Her words offered a glimpse of her resilience and faith, closing with a powerful reminder:
“Instead, let’s embrace the present and make today a beautiful day, filled with hope, love, joy, and promise. The peace that surpasses all understanding has located me.”
Ntombee’s followers responded with an outpouring of love and support. One commented, “Stay strong sisi and find comfort knowing that she’s resting in God’s laps and she’s one of the angels now.” Another added, “I love you, and I wish for God to continue giving you and your family strength.”
Though the loss of her daughter remains a profound part of her life, Ntombee’s ability to find peace and hope in the present serves as an inspiration to many who have faced similar grief.
