Ntando Duma Finally Talks About Her ‘Engagement Ring’

There has been too many questions surrounding Ntando Duma’s noticeable accessory on the relevant finger for the past couple of months. Fans first noticed the ring in the photos of Ntando’s mother’s birthday celebrations, noticing as well what looked to be a wedding band as well.

Speculation was rife and fans heavily debated the nature of the ring. Many questioned if she got her band from Kimberfire here or even on Etsy, not to mention the identity of the lucky person she (perhaps) was engaged to.

The actress chose to stay mum on engagement but has finally decided to speak up. Ntando Duma finally talks about her ‘engagement ring’. Shockingly for many readers, it turns out she is getting married to none other than her career.

Speaking to a local publication, Ntando says she bought the ring for none other than herself. That’s the easy part to believe, whilst some have put the ring on “the best and coolest engagements rings in Mzansi” list, Ntando says it cost her a cool amount.

“This is my first time explaining this ring to the media. I bought this ring for 80 at Eldo. I put it on and took pictures with it and people were like ‘oh! You are getting married and I was like ‘this is none of your business. I never feel like I have to explain myself to people. But, yes, I was alone. I bought it for myself. I bought it to signal that I am getting married to myself and my career. It is a symbol of a commitment to myself,” she told the local publication.

While fans might be disappointed that many of their predictions never came true, for Ntando this is a sweet tribute of commitment to herself and should be respected. Apparently, she hasn’t completely ruled out marrying a sweetheart in the future. And in her own words: “If it’s meant to be, it will happen.”
