Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase from The Mommy Club recently gave fans a candid seven-day update following her surgery. Taking to Instagram Stories, she confirmed the procedures she underwent, saying: “To those who said tummy tuck & liposuction. You are correct.”
The star has been sharing her recovery journey openly, giving followers an inside look at life after surgery. Posting about her progress, Nozipho wrote:
“Hi fam. My post-op update as promised. It’s been 7 days since my abdominoplasty procedure. First of all, I think I have to give a big shout-out to @cs.surgery. My surgeon guys is so amazing. The nurses at the clinic post-op, literally phenomenal. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me.”
She admitted that the first few days were not as easy as she expected. “Day 1 when I got home I thought, ‘Mxm I got this. I don’t know what the fuss was about.’ A lot of people scared me, but Google did the most scarring. But the 4x c-sections have made me a pain tolerant momma. Out of 10, I can honestly say the pain level has been a 3. But to be fair, I’m taking those painkillers religiously.”
However, some aspects of recovery were more challenging. “The drains have been the WORST for me. I love sleeping on my sides and curling myself up into foetal position but NOT here honey. It has been reclined back position day in day out, back pains are killing me. Then the tight compression socks.”
Despite the discomfort, Nozipho is thrilled with the results. “However, I look in the mirror and I’m like DAMN gal. Even I wasn’t ready for this snatchness. Even though there’s some swelling, I’m loving the results already.”
A week before her surgery, Nozipho revealed that this decision was part of her self-love journey. “I’ve been on this self-love journey, and I think after having my last three kids and just going through things in general, I just struggled with loving myself and my confidence just went down the drain.”
After giving birth to five children, including twins, she said her body had changed significantly and insecurities started to build. “I’ve had four pregnancies which resulted in five kids… and so I gained weight and just wasn’t exercising as often as I would’ve wanted. There’s just been a whole lot of insecurities,” she shared.
Now, Nozipho says she’s focused on both inner and outer healing. “I thought, why not do the work on myself and do the outer and the inner work at the same time.”
