Reality TV star Nonku Williams, known for her role on “Real Housewives of Durban,” recently celebrated her son Phendulile’s 7th birthday with a touching tribute and a dash of humour. In a sweet video shared on her social media, Nonku and Phendulile’s siblings are seen singing happy birthday while holding a cake.
Accompanying the video, Nonku penned an emotional message: “My heart. You beat all the odds by the mere fact of your birth. Hence I named you Phendulile. God has continued answering every prayer. ‘The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace’ (Numbers 6:23). I’m so honored to be your mommy. Can’t believe you’re 7!”
However, the heartfelt celebration took a humorous turn when Nonku accidentally lit 8 candles instead of 7 on Phendulile’s birthday cake. Just as Phendulile was about to blow out the candles and make a wish, one of his siblings pointed out the extra candle, exclaiming, “There’s 8 candles.” Nonku responded with a laugh, “Wow, somebody wants to be 8.”
The charming video and Nonku’s genuine message resonated with fans, who praised her for her authenticity and love for her children. The birthday post highlighted the close-knit family’s joy and the special bond Nonku shares with her son.
As Phendulile celebrated his milestone birthday, the warmth and love from his family shone brightly, making it a memorable day filled with laughter and cherished moments.
