South African actress, humanitarian, and UN Goodwill Ambassador Nomzamo Mbatha is celebrating a major milestone in her career. The founder of the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation has been selected to join the Young Global Leaders Class of 2025, a prestigious group led by the World Economic Forum.

Nomzamo shared the exciting news with her fans on Instagram, writing:

“Thank you to the @worldeconomicforum for this incredible honour. Officially a part of the Young Global Leaders Class 2025.”

This new achievement places Nomzamo among a powerful group of 115 young leaders from around the world who are all under the age of 40. These individuals are chosen for their strong leadership, positive impact in their fields, and commitment to making the world a better place. They come from different sectors, including academia , media, civil society , government, business , and arts, culture and sport.

Nomzamo will fall under the Arts, Culture and Sport category within the Young Global Leaders community. Her work as an actress, producer, and humanitarian continues to inspire many, both locally and globally. Through her foundation, she supports education, mental health, and gender equality across South Africa.

The Forum of Young Global Leaders is focused on shaping the future through smart, compassionate leadership. It helps chosen leaders grow both personally and professionally. The program allows them to learn from one another, explore new ideas, and increase their influence on global issues.

According to the World Economic Forum, the goal of the program is to create “future-fit leadership.” It offers “immersive learning and peer exchange,” so that members can “broaden their perspectives, sharpen their thinking and grow their influence.”

These young leaders also support the World Economic Forum’s mission by contributing their unique ideas to major global conversations. They work on big issues like health, artificial intelligence, climate change, geopolitics, and urban development. Their input helps shape the world’s future.
