Nomalanga Shozi, the stunning TV presenter and media personality, is gearing up to host Glamour’s upcoming Galentine’s event, and her excitement is truly contagious. Known for her impeccable fashion sense, Nomalanga’s unique style has made her one of the most influential figures in the entertainment industry. Recently crowned as Glamour’s GMG Winner of 2024, Nomalanga will now take the stage to celebrate the power of sisterhood and friendship in style. Glamour Magazine South Africa caught up with the talented star to get a sneak peek into what she’s most excited about at the event.

When asked for a hint about what she’ll be wearing at the event, Nomalanga shared her excitement, saying, “For my Hosting Debut in 2025, I’ll be dressed by the ever so innovative and dynamic Sihle Masango. We have enjoyed a long and beautiful journey in fashion together, and seeing as the people love a fashion moment, that’s exactly what we’re giving them.”

Nomalanga’s excitement about the Galentine’s event is clear. What she’s most looking forward to is the chance to see women coming together to celebrate each other. “All the beautiful ladies come together to celebrate and uplift one another and show each other so much love on such a momentous occasion,” she says.

As a seasoned host, Nomalanga knows that preparation is key to putting on a great show. She shared her pre-event ritual, saying, “For sure! I love to get myself into a positive and balanced mood before stage, so I always start out with a prayer, just to ask the Lord to bless the evening ahead, and then I jam some music really loudly so I get into my zone and then it’s bombs away.”

During the interview, Glamour Magazine South Africa also asked Nomalanga what she hopes attendees will take away from the event. “That the month of Love isn’t just about what you receive, but what you give. It is in our giving that we are blessed beyond imagination!” she says. For Nomalanga, Galentine’s is a reminder that love is not only about what we receive, but also about what we give to those around us, spreading kindness and positivity.

When asked about her favourite Galentine’s Day tradition, Nomalanga couldn’t help but reminisce about the simple joys of the holiday. “The Girlhood that Galentine’s reignites in us as women is just so beautiful to experience. So, one of my favourite Galentine’s traditions are the sleepovers! We wear our most comfy PJs and spend the night doing what girls absolutely love doing – having FUN! From skincare to beauty hacks and trying on each other’s fabulous outfits, it’s one of those things you just can’t put into words, you have to experience it.” This sense of fun and camaraderie is exactly what makes Galentine’s so special.

Finally, when reflecting on the meaning of sisterhood, Nomalanga shared how deeply it resonates with her. “It means everything to me. My life has been peppered with incredible relationships between friends who have turned into my sisters. The community of sisterhood, our shared strength in our moments of vulnerability, the security it brings us to know that we always have someone in our corner, that inspires a level of confidence that no other relationship can give.”
