South African actress and TV presenter Nomalanga Shozi turned heads in Paris as she attended the star-studded launch of the ELIE SAAB collection during Paris Fashion Week.
The highly anticipated collaboration celebrated its launch at the historic Palais Brongniart in Paris, bringing together fashion and entertainment stars ahead of the collection’s global release on 22 October 2026. In South Africa, the collection will be available at Sandton City, V&A Waterfront Cape Town and online via Superbalist.
Shozi gave her followers a glimpse into her Paris experience, sharing stylish moments from the glamorous event. For the occasion, she stepped out in a striking dress that perfectly matched the elegance of the evening.
The dress featured fine straps that framed her shoulders before falling into a softly draped cowl neckline, giving the look a relaxed yet sophisticated feel. Its fitted midi silhouette kept the outfit sleek, while the floral-embroidered hem brought a romantic touch to the dazzling design.
The intricate details added even more dimension to the look, combining glistening sequins with delicate embroidery. Shozi completed the outfit with her signature Afro hairstyle, making the hairstyle a standout part of her Paris Fashion Week look.
Sharing her excitement on social media, Shozi reflected on her night in Paris and her experience with H&M.
“Dazzling among the stars in Paris with H&M last night went a lot like this! I’m so excited to explore more of the city during the busiest season! Thank you so much to our incredible H&M South Africa team for having us!”
Shozi’s return to her signature Afro also carried a personal meaning. According to The Citizen, Paris provided the perfect setting for her to bring back the hairstyle that fans had been asking her to revive.
“People have been asking me to bring back my afro for years, and I’ve been keeping mum about it,” Shozi said. “Paris, with H&M, felt like the perfect moment to bring her back.”
She also opened up about how wearing the familiar hairstyle now represents a different chapter in her life.
“It’s a familiar look, but I’m wearing it as the woman I am now, young, happy and bolder than ever before,” she said.
Actress and former Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi was also among the South African stars who attended the glamorous Paris launch, sharing her own moments from the fashionable evening.
