New Details Emerge On The Late Busi Lurayi’s Role In Upcoming Season Of ‘How To Ruin Christmas’. Almost a week ago we lost one of South Africa’s most talented actresses of our time, Busi Lurayi. According to a family statement, Busi passed away on Sunday at her residence.
Mzansi has been in mourning as they remember the great talent Busi was. One of the actress’s recent roles was her incredible portrayal of Tumi on hit Netflix original limited series, ‘How To Ruin Christmas’. The series was just confirmed a couple of weeks ago to be returning for a third season. In the teaser about production being in progress, Tumi leaves the family group chat. Whilst at the time fans of the series thought it Tumi being her dramatic self, new details have emerged on her role in the third season.
According to entertainment reporter Phil Mphela, Busi was not returning for the third season of the limited series hence her character had left the group chat. According to Netflix, her character had wrapped her storyline in Season two.
So what was the actress up to until her untimely passing? Busi had joined e.TV’s Scandal!. She had reportedly shot some scenes and no word yet from Scandal! and channel on whether they will keep her storyline.
Upon the sad news of her passing, fans of the series felt the new season would not be the same without Busi’s character, Tumi with some suggesting the show gets canned altogether.
