“I Was Never In The Closet,” Somizi On Being Gay In Showbiz

Idols judge and all round entertainer Somizi opened up about being yourself at all times in the entertainment industry. Asked if that’s the reason why it was easier for him to come out and publicly say he’s gay, Somizi says he never said he was straight. “I was never in the closet,” Somizi on being gay in showbiz.

Somizi says he’s so sure that he was never straight although he admitted that he might have been bisexual when he had his daughter twenty one years ago.

“I’ve been in the closet, so what coming out? I’ve never said I’m straight. When you come out it’s when you’ve been claiming to be straight, have I?, Never!,” Somizi said.

“Chances are I could’ve been bi at the time (when he fathered a child), I’m not bi now, then I was bi but I was never straight. My life has been that easy, I didn’t have to confess to anyone.”
