Actress Natasha Thahane pretty much grew up in front of the whole Mzansi with everyone watching. Granddaughter to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the 21 year old actress has opened up about what’s it like having been in the spotlight her whole life. Natasha Thahane talks dating in the public eye.
Speaking to Drum the actress says she doesn’t conform to pressures that comes with being related to a South African icon. However when it comes to dating, Natasha admits it’s not easy when everyone is watching. She goes on to explain that dating is something that should be kept private between the two parties, and it is not something that should be plastered all over social media. She explains that people that aren’t famous can date who and when they like, without judgement that can be seen by anyone who wants to look for it. And we have to agree. Normal people can rock up to a bar, dressed in a nice outfit, perhaps wearing True Pheromones or a similar pheromone spray, and hope for a spark. Natasha however, struggles to do this with cameras watching.
“I grew up with everyone watching, for me when I start dating [again], they are going to be counting all the boyfriends I’ve dated till I’m 30 or 35. And I’ll have a tree, you know. They need to understand that I’m still young, I’m still going to go through me breaking up with someone and having to cry on social media and have people say, ‘no don’t do that’,” she said.
Natasha says as of now she’s as single as it gets and focusing on ‘Natasha’.
