Nandi Madida Reflects on 23 Years in Entertainment

South African actress, radio host, presenter and model Nandi Madida has expressed her gratitude for her life, career and achievements as the year 2026 approaches its final months.

The media personality took a moment to reflect on her journey in the entertainment industry, thanking the people who have supported her throughout the years. With 23 years in the industry behind her, Nandi is proud of how far she has come and remains grateful for the opportunities she has received along the way.

In a heartfelt video, Nandi explained that her intention was to appreciate those who have been part of her journey and acknowledge the calling she discovered at a young age.

“The purpose of this video, as we are drawing closer to the end of the year, is just to say thank you. I’ve been doing this for 23 years since I was 15 years old, and I just knew that it was my calling,” she said.

Nandi began her journey as a child performer and model at the age of four, participating in ballet. However, she officially launched her public entertainment career in 2004, when she was 15 years old, hosting the SABC2 youth-culture show Bling.

Looking back at her years in the industry, the star made it clear that she does not take the continued support of her fans and the people she has worked with for granted.

“I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for riding with me for 23 years in the industry. I appreciate you and love you guys all so much,” she added.

Nandi also spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive outlook on life as she prepares to enter a new chapter. The actress will celebrate her 39th birthday in March 2027 before approaching the milestone of turning 40.

“I’ve always said that it’s so important to live life positively. I’m drawing towards my 40s, can you imagine? I’m turning 39 in March, and then I’m the big 40, which I’m so excited about. More than anything, it’s just blessings in the game and doing it at the highest level with some amazing people. I don’t take that for granted,” she shared.

“Thank you for rolling with me all these years, all the different brands, all the different people and all the different shows, from SuperSport to Mzansi Magic and to Apple Music.”

Reflecting on everything she has accomplished, Nandi ended her message by expressing appreciation for a career that has spanned more than two decades.

“Geez, man, I’ve had a great career. So, all I want to say is thank you.”
