South African rapper Nadia Nakai has broken her silence after facing heavy criticism over a bold outfit that recently went viral on social media. The star trended across platforms after sharing photos of a black and pink leather ensemble that showed a peek of her bum — a look that sparked intense debate among fans and critics alike.

While some fans praised her confidence and daring style, others were quick to slam the outfit as “inappropriate” and “unladylike.” Social media users flooded her comment section, with remarks such as: “Why do you wear this kind of thing in most of your pics? The dressing code is not okay,” and, “This is disgusting. Showing off your buttcrack is not ladylike. Go back home and get dressed.”

But Nadia wasn’t about to let the criticism go unanswered. Taking to Instagram, she addressed the backlash in a fiery and unapologetic video message.

“Here’s a rant on this Good Sunday. Cos I’m tired of y’all… (laughing face emoji). Grab a pen and paper quickly,” she began.

“I will wear what I want to wear. I’ve always been that b*tch. I don’t understand. I called a whole album Nadia — Naked Without. I don’t know how you are shocked. I will wear what I want to wear how I want to wear it. I don’t get the outrage. It’s nothing new.”

The rapper made it clear that she wouldn’t be toning down her style anytime soon, adding: “If I’m going to serve you a little bit of an a** crack, you will get it. Don’t be talking about Kairo. Let me live. Until I decide to have kids of my own I’m going to have these a** cheeks out. Let me live.”

Nadia also pushed back against personal attacks and criticisms that dragged her family into the conversation. She had a strong message for those taking things too far: “So all of you people’s mothers, get out of my f#cking comments, I’m not here to raise your kids.”

Ending her message with confidence, she said: “Nothing new. You’re gonna get more of it when I feel like I wanna be a bad b#tch, imma be a bad b#tch, get over it!”

Nadia Nakai has made it clear — her body, her rules. And she’s not here to be anyone’s role model unless she chooses to be.
