Reality TV star and actress Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane, along with her husband Isaac, is once again facing the possibility of losing their luxurious five-bedroom home in Waterkloof, Pretoria. The property is set to be auctioned this week, with the Bidders Choice Online group confirming the sale for Wednesday, March 5.
According to IOL, this isn’t the first time the Mophatlane family has faced the auction block. Last September, the same mansion was put up for auction, but they reportedly managed to recover it before it was sold.
Mpumi, best known as Mrs Mops from The Real Housewives of Johannesburg and The Mommy Club on Showmax, has built a reputation for her glamorous lifestyle and love for luxury. From wearing head-to-toe Gucci to indulging in fine dining and luxury holidays, Mrs Mops is a fixture of the high-end lifestyle.
However, the Mophatlane mansion is facing a second auction after the Sheriff of the High Court Pretoria South Gauteng Division, along with Nedbank Limited, confirmed the family owes approximately R9 million.
An on-site viewing of the property will be held on Wednesday, February 25, with the official auction taking place on Wednesday, March 5. Those interested in purchasing the house must register with a R50,000 registration fee.
The mansion’s features include a ground floor with an entrance hall, study, guest toilet, laundry, two bedrooms, a bathroom, formal patio, and wine cellar. The first floor boasts five bedrooms, a pyjama lounge, a dressing room, and a swimming pool in a secure, controlled access area.
