Last week Chomee took to Instagram to share how lonely the entertainment can be, the post has now inspired radio and TV personality Mpho Maboi to open up about her struggles with loneliness as an entertainer.

Mpho refereed to the saying, “being lonely in a room full of people”, admitting it happens often in the industry and it has happened to her. “I mean, have you ever been in a bind, gone through the contacts on your phone and realized that you have absolutely no one to call?! Not one single soul!! I’ve been here…”, she shared on her blog.

The mom of one says there was a time where she couldn’t even bare the thought of breathing because everything hurt but still had to smile because she’s in an industry where very few genuinely care about how you feel.

“You’re there to entertain and inform people not share your problems”, she shared. She also spoke on industry friends who she describe as ‘vultures’ because they run to papers when you confide in them.

“From the outside, this life seems glamorous but it’s one of the loneliest… I’m grateful for those I can now truly call my friends”, she said.
