Multi-talented celebrity Moshe Ndiki, fresh from embracing fatherhood to twins, is set to take on another challenge as the host of the brand new cooking game show “Ready Steady Cook South Africa” on S3. Produced by Primedia Studios and Anele Mdoda’s Rose and Oaks Media, the show promises to inject excitement into weekday TV viewing starting from March 18 at 7pm.
“Ready Steady Cook South Africa” is a fast-paced cooking competition where two teams compete to create mouth-watering dishes in just 20 minutes. Adapted from the long-running BBC show, the local version will feature home cooks split between the “Red Kitchen” and “Green Kitchen,” each led by a top Mzansi chef.
During the show, teams will receive five randomly selected food items that they must use to craft a simple yet delicious dish. Once the clock runs out, the studio audience will determine the winning team through a vote.
The show boasts a lineup of well-known chefs showcasing their culinary skills, including celebrity chef Lorna Maseko, “MasterChef South Africa” winner Kamini Pather, award-winning Soweto-born chef Wandile Mabaso, and popular food TikToker Fehmida Osman-Latib, among others.
With 260 episodes planned, “Ready Steady Cook South Africa” aims to spice up the television landscape, offering viewers a blend of entertainment, culinary inspiration, and intense competition. Moshe Ndiki’s charismatic hosting is expected to add an extra layer of excitement to the show, making it a must-watch for foodies and entertainment enthusiasts alike.
