Moja Love To Physical Abuse Uproar : “Cancelling Isencane Lengane Not The Solution”. Popular television show ‘Isencane Lengane’ on Moja Love has caused an uproar from viewers on social media. This comes after Sunday night’s episode in which Siyacela Dlamuka was filmed hitting his wife, Thando.

The unfortunate incident has been met with resistance and condemnation on social media, particularly twitter. With fans asking how was the production team continued with filming after witnessing the violence. Some went on to say that they feel Siyacela’s violent behaviour may one day go too far.

Moja Love has since released a statement saying they do not promote gender based violence however doesn’t believe cancelling the show will help.

“The most recent episode of Isencane Lengane, on Moja LOVE (DStv Channel 157), saw couple Siyacela Dlamuka and Thando Msomi engage in a heated argument, leading to Siyacela becoming violent towards her. Following the broadcast of this episode, there has been uproar with some labelling this as irresponsible broadcasting. Moja LOVE would like to put it on record that, the channel does not condone GBV in any way. Moja LOVE prides itself on producing content that reflects the reality in our society, including social ills, and as such could not sweep the GBV incident between Thando and Siyacela under the carpet. In a country burdened by Gender-Based violence and Femicide, Moja LOVE has a responsibility to reflect and show the extent of this pandemic”, the statement read.

Scandal and drama continues to follow “Isencane Lengane’” after Thando’s father and Siyacela were involved in verbal attack that transpired at Thando’s and Siyacela’s baby shower. Despite all this the show continues to rack in a lot of viewers and even topping up trend lists.
