Mo Flava talks hosting Metro FM Drive show and working with Lerato Kganyago. The radio host opens up about his new slot, working with Lerato and his future plans.
On hosting the drive show, Mo Flava says it doesn’t get better than that. “With any radio personality when you start out in your career, the end goal is to be on a show like that, it doesn’t get better than Afternoon Drive on the biggest Urban radio in the country. It’s challenging and comes with a lot of responsibility but I’m excited to use my experience to do what I does everyday to the best of my ability,” he told us.
Mo Flava says he’s happy about not having to wake up early in the morning and he’s excited to have a different audience. “Being a new person at Metro FM having been there for a year and half that is still bit of a novelty for me. I think the show comes with a lot of freshness. People who’ve never listened to me on the radio because I was at YFM before in Gauteng get a taste of what I can do and for some it’s their first interaction or experience of me.”
On his future plans, Mo Flava says says he still has a lot do at Metro FM and is going to stay there for a while God willing. “I’m a radio personality and that’s what I do. I want to do that for the rest of my life, if an opportunity comes I’ll probably take it but not now. I want to be with the people, I want have access to millions of people and that’s why I’m on Metro FM.
On working with Lerato, Mo Flava says “She’s a cool girl, we actually have a lot in common. We have a similar background, growing up in Soweto and similar upbringing. Above everything she’s a cool person and she has a desire to learn. She has made it my responsibility to teach her everything about radio,” he said laughing.
