Miss South Africa 2024, Mia Le Roux, is set to reveal her stunning Miss Universe National Costume at the AFI Cape Town Fashion Week: The Edit Spring/Summer 2024 event on November 30.
Sharing her excitement about the big reveal, Mia said, “Countless hours of work went into these two one-of-a-kind, magnificent pieces, and I cannot wait to wear them proudly and share them with the rest of the world, as well as the story behind them!”
Mia had to withdraw from the Miss Universe competition in Mexico, explaining the reason behind her withdrawal from the competition, Mia shared on Instagram: “As you all know, your balance lies in your ears. When you have a hearing impairment, there is a high chance of you having vertigo, and it’s very intense and pronounced.”
She added that the condition not only took a physical toll but also impacted her emotionally: “Mentally, I was very strong, but physically my body was just taking a lot of strain, and I had to seek medical help in Mexico City. On the night of the preliminary competition, my vertigo intensified to the point where I fell repeatedly backstage. I was not able to stand without support.”
Tickets for the grand reveal on November 30 are available on Quicket. Fans and followers are eagerly waiting to see the costume and hear the inspiring story behind its creation.
