Reality TV star and Gagasi FM radio presenter Minnie Ntuli has come forward with a public apology after a dramatic and shocking moment on the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) reunion. The heated scene, which aired on Showmax, left viewers stunned after unseen footage showed Minnie physically confronting fellow cast member Londie London.
The reunion was meant to bring closure after the fiery Season 5 finale that aired on June 13. Instead, it revealed deeper tension between Minnie and Londie, especially during a clip from their group trip to the Maldives. In the footage, Minnie was seen aggressively pushing Londie’s forehead multiple times, while Londie remained calm and composed throughout.
According to reports, the tension began after Londie allegedly made disrespectful remarks about Minnie’s parents, which deeply upset Minnie. Throughout the season, Minnie said this was the reason she felt triggered by Londie’s presence and actions.
Following the backlash from viewers and the public, Minnie issued a long apology this past Friday, addressing her behaviour and taking full responsibility.
She said: “Over the past few weeks, I’ve had to come face-to-face with the impact of my actions on The Real Housewives of Durban. Watching the show back has been deeply confronting — I am appalled by how I behaved, and I take full accountability for the role I played.”
She continued: “I want to sincerely apologize to the affected cast members. I know my actions hurt others, and for that, I am truly sorry. I have reached out to them privately and publicly, and I remain committed to making amends, including having face-to-face conversations if and when they are open to it.”
Minnie also mentioned that she had spoken to her employer, Gagasi FM, about the negative attention the show had brought to the station. “While my work on radio and my presence on the show are two separate platforms, both Gagasi FM and I agree that it is important I take accountability.”
The radio station expressed their disappointment, and it was agreed that Minnie would seek professional counselling to better manage her emotional reactions.
Minnie added: “This experience has made me realise the ripple effect of my behaviour — I’ve disappointed my family, my friends, my clients, and most importantly, the loyal listeners who tune in to my show every weekday.”
Because of this, she announced that she will be taking a break to focus on her personal growth and healing. “I will also be using this time to personally reach out to those I have hurt and to actively begin the process of atonement.”
She ended her statement by thanking everyone who had reached out to her with support and tough love. “Your words have been an important part of my reflection, and I will carry them with me as I do the work to become a better, more grounded version of myself.”
