For Dlamini, the hosting role feels like a natural fit. The celebrated TV personality has built an impressive reputation as one of South Africa’s sought-after event hosts, taking charge of some of the country and continent’s biggest entertainment and awards shows. Her hosting credits include the 30th annual SAMAs, Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, South African Film and Television Awards and more.

But her connection to the world of beauty pageants goes far beyond simply standing on stage with a microphone.

Minnie Dlamini has hosted prominent beauty pageants. The celebrated South African media personality has a well-established history in the pageant industry, having served as a main host, a regional event host, and even competing as a contestant in her early youth.

Her pageant journey includes a particularly memorable achievement from her childhood. Minnie Dlamini has participated in and won beauty pageants. She won the Little Miss South Africa crown in November 2002 when she was 12 years old.

Her experience in the pageant world continued well into her professional career. She signed a multi-year deal to serve as the official host for the Miss World South Africa 2023 pageant, starting with its inaugural event.

That combination of experience, from competing in pageants as a young girl to becoming one of the country’s most recognisable television personalities and hosts, makes Dlamini an intriguing choice to guide viewers through the Miss South Africa 2026 Top 19 reveal.

As anticipation builds around the contestants who will make the cut, viewers can expect Dlamini to bring the confidence, energy and glamour that have become synonymous with her work on major stages.

The big question now is: who will make the Miss South Africa 2026 Top 19? The answer will be revealed today at 14:00, with Dlamini at the centre of the highly anticipated announcement.
