Minnie Dlamini, the celebrated TV presenter and media personality, has been named the host for this year’s 30th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs). The much-anticipated event will take place on Saturday, 2 November, at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, where Minnie will bring her energy and passion for South African music to the stage. According to Daily Sun, Minnie expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity.

“The Samas are more than an awards show – they’re a celebration of our rich music legacy and a platform for South Africa’s extraordinary talent to shine. To be part of the milestone #SAMA30 is an absolute honour, and I’m beyond excited to bring my love for our music to this iconic stage,” Minnie said.

Joining the celebration, Luthando “LootLove” Shosha will host the Industry Awards and Pre-Show on Friday, 1 November, also at the Gallagher Convention Centre. Meanwhile, Siphesile Vazi and Kuhle Adams will take charge of the red carpet, giving fans an exclusive look at all the glitz and glam of the star-studded event.

The SAMAs have announced a power-packed lineup featuring legendary artists like KB, Skwatta Kamp, Bucy Radebe, Liquideep, Thebe, DJ Cleo, Arthur Mafokate, Rebecca Malope, Winnie Mashaba, Bucie, and Ihhashi Elimhlophe. Rising stars such as Lwah Ndlunkulu, Zee Nxumalo, Babes Wodumo, Mthunzi, Manana, Boohle, and Babalwa are also set to light up the stage, showcasing South Africa’s vibrant music scene.

This year, several artists will be honoured with prestigious awards. Oskido Mdlongwa is set to receive the Chairperson’s Award, while music legends Ringo Madlingozi and Sipho Makhabane will each be awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards. International sensation Tyla will be recognised with the International Achievement Award, celebrating her global success.

With its 30th milestone, this year’s SAMAs promise to be a spectacular celebration of South Africa’s diverse musical talent.
