South African content creator and entrepreneur Mihlali Ndamase has addressed rumours linking her romantically to the late Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo and socialite Ginimbi.
Ndamase took to social media on Thursday to set the record straight, saying she would not stay silent while claims about her personal life were presented as facts. Her statement comes after renewed speculation about her alleged relationships with the two late Zimbabwean personalities.
“There comes a point where you have to draw a line between people having opinions and people deliberately creating narratives that simply aren’t true,” she wrote.
“I have no problem with being spoken about, criticised or misunderstood, but I will not sit quietly while false statements are presented as facts and my name is attached to things/ people I have never engaged with let alone even met.”
Ndamase urged people discussing her life to stick to the truth instead of creating stories around her.
“If you have something to say about me, have the courage to say what is true. Don’t fabricate stories, twist situations or use my name to create a narrative that suits you.”
She went on to make it clear that she has never been romantically involved with either Chivayo or Ginimbi.
“I know who I am, I know what I have done and, most importantly, I know what I haven’t done. I will always choose to protect my peace over entertaining every rumour, but protecting my peace does not mean allowing people to rewrite my character.”
Ndamase then directly addressed the dating claims, writing: “I’ve NEVER dated Wicknell nor have I met him, and I’ve also NEVER dated Ginimbi.”
She also questioned why people continued to believe what she described as narratives created on social media.
“I don’t understand why some of you are so quick to run with narratives created by that imbecile on Twitter knowing very well he only uses my name for relevance.”
The content creator also shared another post expressing her frustration with the continued focus on her dating life.
“How can an individual be so fixated on my dating life and worse they are even lying. People don’t even know what’s going on in my life right now. I’m all about my business and I want to keep my peace, so can you guys just stop. It’s so pathetic.”
Ndamase ended her statement with a clear message: “Respectfully, leave my name out of your lies.”
The speculation comes shortly after Wicknell Chivayo died in a helicopter crash in Zimbabwe on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Chivayo, his wife Lucy Muteke and other passengers died in the crash in the Marondera area. His death was confirmed by Zimbabwean authorities and his family.
For Ndamase, however, the focus remains on correcting what she says are false claims about her personal life and protecting her peace.
