A man lost in the Andes for four months ate rats and raisins to stay alive.
Raul Fernando Gomez Circunegui, 58, was discovered by rescuers on the floor of a shelter after getting lost in May when he attempted to cross mountains on foot from Chile to Argentina after his motorbike broke down.
His daughter said: ”He’s doing well and is delighted to have been rescued. It’s a miracle.
”Dad’s always been ¬adventurous. I’m going to make sure he never does anything like this again.
”He’s got anaemia and he’s suffered ¬dehydration but he’s going to be OK.”
Raul trekked in freezing conditions of around -20C but got lost in a heavy snowstorm.
