Award-winning musician Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans after winning Song of the Year for Sesi Ka Rose on Phalaphala FM. The win comes at the end of what her team has described as a year filled with both serious challenges and major success.

Following the announcement, Makhadzi’s team released a statement on behalf of Makhadzi Entertainment, thanking supporters across the country for standing by the hitmaker throughout 2025. The statement highlighted how important fan support has been during a year that tested the artist both personally and professionally.

In the statement shared, the team said: “On behalf of Makhadzi Entertainment, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted for Makhadzi Sesi Ka Rose as Song of the Year. Your belief and support continue to inspire us.

2025 was not an easy year. We experienced both challenges and victories, but through it all, your unwavering support and love for Makhadzi meant everything to us as a team.

As we step into the new year, we wish you a Happy New Year filled with success, joy, and prosperity. Thank you for being part of this journey.”

Makhadzi also took time to personally address her fans, known as the “khadzinators”, sharing a detailed message filled with gratitude, honesty, and faith. She thanked her supporters for standing by her during a difficult period and explained why she felt it was important to update them about her health.

She said: “To all my lovely khadzinators, my fans . Thank you for the love and support you have been showing me during this difficult time.

I feel a need to update you about my health at this point because of the love and support you have been showing me not only South Africa but ALL MY AFRICAN FOLLOWERS GLOBALLY

I am now discharged from the hospital so that my family can take care of me until I get back to Normal ..”

Makhadzi further revealed that her doctor advised her to remain on home care for 10 weeks without performing due to her injuries. Despite this, she remained hopeful and strong, saying she believes God will perform a miracle and that she is slowly recovering while trusting the process. She added that although she will not be performing, she will continue working in the studio and thanked God for protecting her voice and giving her a “SECOND CHANCE TO BREATHE.”

Her emotional message followed an earlier announcement made by her team on 31 December 2025, confirming that the artist was involved in a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg. At the time, the statement assured fans that she was receiving medical care, was in stable condition, and that her recovery and well-being were the top priority.

Despite the hardships, Makhadzi’s Song of the Year win stands as a powerful moment of victory, showing the strength of her music, her faith, and the unwavering support of her fans.
