Award-winning South African musician Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, has opened up about the injuries she suffered following a car accident on 31 December 2025. The singer shared photos of her injuries on social media, including visible wounds on her forehead, giving fans a glimpse into the painful reality she has been facing since the accident.
Taking to Facebook, Makhadzi spoke honestly about her recovery journey and the emotional weight that comes with surviving a traumatic experience. In her post, she expressed frustration over the pressure to prove that the accident really happened, especially to people who doubt the power of God’s protection and miracles.
She wrote, “I didn’t know that the proof that you got into an accident must be death. I didn’t know that if God chooses to give you a second chance, you must prove it by posting yourself before you heal, because other people don’t believe in God’s miracles. Mudzimu u a ita madembe arali tshifhinga tshisathu swika. I am in pain, trying to get my life back. You couldn’t look at my body twice on day one. I can’t disclose everything because I believe God is still going to do a miracle.”
The singer went on to explain how hurtful it is when people fail to believe that God can protect someone in extreme and unbelievable situations. Despite the pain she is still experiencing, Makhadzi said her faith remains strong and continues to give her hope during this difficult time.
She added, “It’s painful for people who don’t believe that God can protect you in situations that are unbelievable. God chose to give me a second chance to live. I am coming back strong. Two months to go — I am counting down.”
Her post quickly drew attention from fans, many of whom shared messages of encouragement and their own personal experiences. One follower related deeply to Makhadzi’s words and commented, “Sorry, Khadzi. When you talk about a second chance, I know what you mean. I have been there. I couldn’t believe it when the doctor said, “You’re fine.”
Makhadzi responded with another heartfelt message, once again giving credit to God for saving her life and expressing how difficult it has been to heal while facing public doubt.
She replied, “God does miracles. I know God. God saved me. At some point, I felt like I died for a second and came back. I thought I was going to be healing quietly, only to find out when I logged in that there are people I wish could come and witness what I am going through right now, so they can believe. I can’t just choose to stay at home for two months.”
Despite the pain and challenges, Makhadzi remains hopeful and determined to recover fully. As she continues her healing journey, the singer has assured her supporters that she is counting down the days and will return stronger, guided by faith, resilience and gratitude for a second chance at life.
