Maglera Doe Boy Shares the Spotlight at Paris Fashion Week with MAXHOSA

In a heartwarming display of South African talent, fashion brand MAXHOSA showcased its ‘Umbulelo’ collection at Paris Fashion Week with a special contribution from Mzansi rapper Maglera Doe Boy.

Maglera Doe Boy, known for his distinct rapping style, was not only a performer at the event but also curated the entire playlist for the fashion show. Draped in a MAXHOSA tracksuit, the rapper expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform his music to an international audience. “Thank you, MAXHOSA, for the opportunity. I was given the taste of performing my music. I also curated the music for the whole show. Big love to my brother Laduma,” said Maglera Doe Boy, whose real name is Tokelo Moyakhe.

In addition to his involvement with MAXHOSA, Maglera Doe Boy celebrated a significant milestone in February when he received his first Platinum Plaque for his contribution to K.O’s hit song “Let Me Cook.” His unique rapping style, which resonates with a broad audience, has set him apart from many of his peers, making him a rising star in the South African music scene.

Fashion has also become an important part of Maglera Doe Boy’s  brand. His keen sense of style and appreciation for fashion have allowed him to merge his music and his personal aesthetic seamlessly, building a presence beyond just his musical contributions.

MAXHOSA, the luxury fashion brand founded by Laduma Ngxokolo in 2011, continues to make waves in the international fashion industry. This year’s Paris Fashion Week was not the first time the brand was featured. In 2023, MAXHOSA made history by becoming the only African brand on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule. For 2024, the brand showcased two seasons in March and September, solidifying its place on the global stage.

Maglera Doe Boy’s collaboration with MAXHOSA not only highlights the growing influence of South African talent in international circles but also serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting one another in the journey to success. Media personality Boity Thulo was also present at the event, further celebrating South African excellence in fashion.
