We honestly thought that this case was laid to bed already but by the looks of things Maggie Benedict’s shoplifting headache continues.
Maggie, who is best known for her role as Akhona on television drama Generations was arrested about a year and a half ago for allegedly stealing a bottle of headache pills from Checkers supermarket in Cresta Mall in Johannesburg.
Right after the incident took place Maggie took to her Facebook page to explain to her fans that she had purchased the bottle of pills worth R17.49 a few weeks before she was arrested for apparently stealing them and the bottle had been left unopened in her bag since then.
Magistrate Pravina Raghunandan on Monday at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court requested that Benedict’s case be postponed once again as she needs more time to look through the trail transcript as she only received it on Monday.
This is now the second time that Maggie’s case is postponed as it was also postponed earlier in May due to delays with obtaining the transcript.
Gee, we honestly hope this headache ends well for this talented actress and all things are resolved accordingly.
