Showmax has officially confirmed that media personality MaBlerh will host the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) reunion once again — for the third season in a row.
The finale of RHOD Season 5 dropped on 13 June 2025 and immediately took over social media. It became the number one trending topic in South Africa, with fans glued to their screens and several of the housewives trending individually.
After a season full of tension, backstabbing, and emotional moments, the cast ended their journey with a final dinner in Mauritius. But what was supposed to be a calm wrap-up turned into another dramatic night. Old arguments resurfaced, new betrayals were revealed, and emotions ran high.
Things took a shocking turn when Nonku received an anonymous letter at the dinner table. Whatever was written inside left her so shaken that she walked away from the table. Viewers were left with more questions than answers, as the episode ended without revealing the letter’s contents — sparking endless speculation online.
Now, fans are looking forward to the reunion, which promises to unpack all the drama. The two-part reunion will air on 4 and 11 July 2025 on Showmax, and viewers are expecting explosive moments, answers, and maybe even some closure.
MaBlerh is more than ready to take on the challenge. Known for his calm, respectful, yet firm approach, he has hosted Real Housewives reunions in Gqeberha and Johannesburg. His ability to ask the right questions without taking sides has made him a favourite among fans.
“The show has a lot of loyal viewers, and I intend to step in and represent all of their views. They have burning questions that need answers,” says MaBlerh.
“Being back for the third time is an honour I don’t take lightly. It’s a big job that requires sensitivity because these ladies are opening up and sharing their lives with us, so some of the topics are deeply personal.”
This time, MaBlerh is not holding anything back.
“This year, I’m making sure that no stone is left unturned. Everyone needs to be held accountable for what they’ve said and done, so we can reach real resolution. Accountability is key. This is not just about drama for the sake of entertainment, it’s about honesty, clarity, and sometimes even healing.”
He also made it clear that fans’ voices matter. “I’m there to represent the viewers. I’ve seen the tweets, I’ve read the comments and concerns and trust me, everything will be addressed. People have been asking the same questions week after week. I hear them. And I’m going to ask those same questions in that reunion chair.”
With MaBlerh in the hot seat, fans can expect a reunion that’s not just dramatic, but meaningful too.
