Lungelo Mpangase Scores New Acting Gig In An Etv Drama. The actress and model recently took to her socials to share that she had been cast in a new television drama.

A few months after leaving Showmax’s ‘The Wife’ where she portrayed the character of Xoli, a sexually liberated young woman. She took to her Instagram to share that she had been cast as a lead actress in new eTV drama. The television production called Nikiwe is executive produced by two influential players in South Africa’s entertainment industry, Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu’s who own a production company called ‘Parental Advisory Production’.

“It is an honor and words really fail me. Meet NIKIWE “Nicky R” Radebe coming to you on @etvonline. Slide no.2 will show you how nervous I was at the audition trying to keep it together thank you @neo_mekay for capturing this moment. Gugabadele Nkosi yokhokho bethu,” she wrote.

The television production is a daily local drama, set to revolve around the Radebe family who posses influence and financial power, in Diepkloof, Soweto where they reside. The show is set to premiere on 17 April and will air every weekdays from 6:30pm.

Speaking to News24, Thomas Gumede who plays an important role in the production of ‘Nikiwe’ said that the production team had made sure to include good shots and storylines for viewers to get hooked to the drama.

“We’re pulling all stops with this show, splitting shoots between studio and location; this will result in nonstop and back-to-back dramatic scenes for the audiences,” Gumede, who directed the first block of the show,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what the actress will deliver in the upcoming television drama, as she is known to have brought life to the Xoli character in ‘The Wife’.
