Lunathi Mampofu Signs with Rebelle Management to Take Her Career to the Next Level

Award-winning South African actress Lunathi Mampofu has officially joined Rebelle Management South Africa’s Film & TV division, and fans can expect her star to rise even higher. The agency proudly announced her signing, placing her among big names like Thando Thabethe, Bohang Moeko, and Rosemary Zimu.

Known for her powerful acting skills and the ability to take on very different roles, Lunathi has built a name for herself in local and international TV shows. She’s admired for being intentional with her choices and always giving life to strong, layered characters.

According to Rebelle Management South Africa, her journey began with a debut role in Isikizi, and since then, she’s impressed audiences in several popular TV shows. In The River, her role as Emma showed her ability to mix strength with vulnerability. As Benni in The Queen, she embraced a wild and unpredictable character. On Netflix’s hit series Fatal Seduction, she played Brenda, a bright woman dealing with deep emotional scars. Currently, Lunathi stars in Inimba as Zoleka Mabandla, a tech-savvy mother juggling ambition and family life.

Lunathi is also set to lead in a brand-new crime drama called Levels, where she plays the role of Bongi. The show will premiere on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) on Sunday, September 7th at 7:30 PM CAT.

Her talent hasn’t gone unnoticed in the industry. Lunathi was nominated for a 2024 SAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1802: Love Defies Time. She also starred in the festive comedy Disaster Holiday, which was a big hit and won several awards at the 2025 Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela Awards, including Best Feature Film and Best Pan African Film.

She’s also a style icon! Lunathi was named Best Dressed and Most Stylish Personality at the 2024 Feather Awards, and she took home Best Supporting Actress and Most Popular Actress at the 2023 Royalty Soapie Awards.
