Lebo M, the acclaimed producer of The Lion King and a well-known figure in social circles, is embroiled in a legal tussle over a luxury vehicle he bought but allegedly failed to pay for. According to Sunday World, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services has applied for a default judgment in the Johannesburg High Court against Lebohang Morake, known as Lebo M, after he reportedly stopped making payments on his Mercedes-Benz A200.

The financial services firm claims that on March 6, 2020, they entered into a loan agreement with Morake in Sandton, granting him R478,219.40 to purchase the vehicle. However, as Morake fell behind on his monthly instalments, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services decided to take legal action to reclaim the car.

This high-profile case shines a spotlight on the financial struggles even successful individuals can face, set side by side against the backdrop of Morake’s glamorous life and public persona. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for both Morake’s reputation and his financial standing.

As the case unfolds in the Johannesburg High Court, observers are keenly watching to see if the famed producer can resolve this financial dispute and retain possession of his luxurious ride.
