Miss South Africa 2015 and media personality Liesl Laurie Mthombeni is in full celebration mode this December, honouring both family and love. Liesl recently shared heartfelt moments with her followers as she celebrated her grandmother’s upcoming 79th birthday.
On Instagram, Liesl posted beautiful photos with her grandmother and wrote, “It’s my ouma Laurie’s birthday today and I’ve been man down all day. I can’t wait to celebrate 79 with her next week. A queen, a hero, a superstar, a warrior. The person that made me who I am today…THANK YOU Ouma Lo.”
The heartfelt tribute shows just how much her grandmother means to her, and fans flooded the comments with love and birthday wishes for Ouma Laurie.
But Liesl’s celebrations don’t stop there. Her husband, media personality and Diagnostic Radiologist Dr Musa Mthombeni, also shared a special milestone with fans. On Instagram, he wrote, “Happy monthiversary to my baby and I. Happy 52 months married. Shout out to my wife for being a superstar and marrying her husband who is the darkest and most delicious of all Daddies in the world. One thing about Lies, she makes spectacular decisions and chooses well. I need her to lock in and give me some Powerball numbers because her decision making is… Side note: SBWL a romantic getaway to a delicious destination.”
Musa’s playful post reflects the couple’s fun and loving relationship, showing their fans just how much they enjoy celebrating each other.
The Mthombenis also have another birthday to look forward to this month. A week ago, Musa shared his excitement for Liesl’s birthday on December 24th, joking about the challenges of celebrating holidays so close together. “Two weeks to go until my baby’s birthday. Please pray for those with partners that have birthdays in and around Christmas time. We are suffering. We have to buy birthday gifts and Christmas gifts, Nkosi yam. One day we’re saying ‘happy birthday here’s your 6 piece Hart cooking pot set’ and the next day we’re saying ‘Merry Christmas, here’s your 10 pack black and white socks!’ When you ask Umdali for blessings this festive season, please add us in because his soldiers are suffering.”
With Ouma Laurie’s 79th birthday on the horizon, Liesl is clearly excited to celebrate the woman who has shaped her life. Between family love and festive season fun, it’s set to be a memorable December for the Mthombeni family.
