Letoya Makhene-Pulumo Responds To Allegedly Dodging Unpaid Restaurant Bill. Generations: The Legacy actress Letoya Makhene Pulumo has come out guns blazing to protect her and her spouses reputation after word of them dodging a restaurant bill has since been making the rounds.
The actress and her wife Lebo have expressed how furious they are about the false accusations about their financial status which has been rumoured to be a bit shaky. The actress ensure that she and her family are doing well for themselves.
According to The Citizen, the newlywed couple have been allegedly dodging a restaurant bill of almost R2000 in Fourways. Letoya responded the rumours claiming that she and her wife regularly go out for dinner and popping out large amounts of money on food and drinks is no issue.
“My wife and I wine and dine about three times a week. Now explain to me how we can be broke if we can afford to go out so much?” Lebo said.
The actress was so livid by the rumours that she offered to prove that her bank balance is not at all empty.
“We can send you our bank balance and it is quite healthy” she said.
The actress shared that as the last meal before going on a 21 day meditation fast, she and her wife went to one of Johannesburg’s upmarket restaurants to have a Sushi dinner. The couple ended up paying R1600 including gratuity.
“Our bill came to R1,350 and we ended up paying R1,600 including a tip. Now for people to say that I left my wife behind is just lies – I am always with my wife and would never leave her behind”she said.
Makhene opened up about feeling confused and attacked by the rumours because she has found happiness with her wife. She also added that the restaurant owner is also livid by the accusations and has offered to release an official statement.
Lebo pointed out her concern as they remember the restaurant being almost empty so it make no sense that someone knew their whereabouts.
“It really is a concern that the restaurant was almost empty on the night we were there and for someone to claim they saw us having a problem with our bill when none of that happened” Lebo said.
According to the couple, they have become victims as a result of jealousy.
