Actress, content creator, and YouTuber Lerato Nxumalo has hit an incredible milestone — surpassing 200K subscribers on her YouTube channel. The media personality took to social media to celebrate the achievement with balloons, joy, and heartfelt gratitude for her loyal supporters.
Sharing the exciting moment, Lerato wrote:
“200K YouTube Family! I’ve been meaning to celebrate this milestone since the 28th of September but between wedding planning, campaign deadlines, and trying to stay consistent online, I just never got around to it. Then I realized… if I don’t celebrate now, I might never do it. So here we are.”
True to her creative spirit, Lerato added a humorous touch to her post by revealing that when she went to get the balloons, the “K” was out of stock. “But thanks to Instagram’s cutouts option, I cut out the K from my previous 60K celebratory post and made it work — because what’s 200 without the K?” she joked.
Lerato went on to express her gratitude to her fans and the platforms that have supported her growth. “We’ve already grown past 200K in just two weeks and I’m honestly so, so grateful. Thank you to everyone who watches, supports, and believes in my channel. Your love means everything to me. Big thank you to @google, @youtubeafrica, and @youtube for continuously recognising and rewarding African creators — it truly makes a difference.”
The actress also shared her excitement about her latest career achievement — a special role in Netflix South Africa’s upcoming series, Bad Influencer. “I’m super excited and grateful to share a special part I got to play in @netflixsa’s Bad Influencer! When God opens a door, no matter how small, walk through it with faith. This was such a full circle moment for me,” she wrote.
Fans can catch Lerato and the cast at the Bad Influencer TikTok Live hybrid event on Thursday, 16 October at Nelson Mandela Square at 13:00 sharp, or tune in via TikTok Live.
The new Netflix series, produced by Gambit Films, premieres on October 31, 2025, and follows two women living double lives — one online, and the other deep within the criminal underworld.
Just last year in September, Lerato was celebrating 60K subscribers. Fast forward a year later, her channel has grown by 140K new followers, proving that her authenticity, talent, and consistency continue to shine both on screen and online.
