Lerato Kganyago has opened up about her recent breast reduction surgery, revealing how it helped relieve her long-standing back and neck pain. The media personality took to social media to share her journey and encourage others facing similar issues to consider the procedure.

“My reduction procedure was seamless and less painful than expected,” Lerato shared. “It lasted about two hours, focusing on reducing breast size without adding implants, as the goal was to decrease weight rather than increase it. Upon waking, I felt mild discomfort rather than pain. I had two surgical drains for fluid removal, which were initially uncomfortable but improved significantly after their removal on the third day.”

Lerato emphasised the importance of proper care and healing. “Although I still have dressings, I find the procedure straightforward and quick to heal with proper precautions. If you suffer from back or neck pain due to large breasts, I encourage you to seek more information about similar procedures. I will provide updates on my recovery as the week progresses.”

She also praised her medical team, saying, “The nursing staff and Dr. Paul Pienaar’s team were exemplary. Please search for his contact details online, as he does not have social media. Please keep in mind that there are many excellent surgeons available; thorough research is essential to find the right fit for your needs.”

Returning to work just days after the surgery, Lerato expressed how good she felt. “Feeling so good. My back is the happiest right now. Honestly, this was a pleasant experience,” she shared on her social media stories. “I did it for my girls with back problems. I’m so happy. I want to cry. I felt the immediate relief off my back. I feel free.”
